It seems to me that a half-decent pricing/valuation guide for CCKW owners is sorely needed. This is my very personal/subjective take on this subject based on sales seen over the last six years. It assumes a willing buyer and willing seller. Feel free to use or ignore as you see fit.
Starting Rationale
The most common type of CCKW is the 353 Open Cab, so this is used as the baseline.
Poor Condition: £ 4,415
Average Condition: £ 7,727
Top Condition: £ 11,038
Adjustments To Make
Make the following adjustments (which are cumulative) to the poor condition price if the following apply:
Poor | Average | Top | |
353 Open Cab | 0 | 0 | 0 |
353 Closed Cab | 442 | 773 | 1,104 |
352 Open Cab | 618 | 1,082 | 1,545 |
352 Closed Cab | 618 | 1,082 | 1,545 |
Bolster | 442 | 773 | 1,104 |
Metal Cargo | 0 | 0 | 0 |
Wooden Cargo | 662 | 1,159 | 1,656 |
Club | 1,104 | 1,932 | 2,760 |
Compressor | 221 | 386 | 552 |
Converted | -442 | -773 | -1,104 |
Radio | 442 | 773 | 1,104 |
Tanker | 221 | 386 | 552 |
Tipper | 1,104 | 1,932 | 2,760 |
Tractor | 883 | 1,545 | 2,208 |
Workshop | 221 | 386 | 552 |
Note:
a) As no original Clubmobiles exist, they are not subject to the deduction for being converted.
b) Converted in the context of this pricing relates to trucks converted to civilian use, i.e. lime spreading.
